ABOUT ME
I was born and grew up in a small town, located by the sea, in the southwest of Sweden (after a lot of moving, I now live in that same town with my husband, two daughters and two cats).
The one thing i liked the most, when I was a child, were to be all by myself (we were a big family) and draw and read books about artist that I admired, I was a romantic dreamer ( I often pretended to be a mermaid) with a hidden dark side, I loved to draw historical portraits and imagine I lived in those days, but every once in a while I made some bizarre, horrifying, surreal drawing that I had to hide from my family.
I went to the University in Gothenburg and after four years I had a diploma as a Teacher. Besides painting I now teach Art and History/Religion.
I first came in contact with the digital art world just a few years ago, when I started making custom content for the PC game The Sims2. Before that I had never painted in a graphics program.
So, if You are a Sims2 fan You might have heard of me, I used to run a site called SussisSoGoodSims. I closed the site when my husband and I finally could adopt our beautiful baby girl.
Now I have taken up the thing I want to do the most, creating art. It is my ambition & hope to be able to work full time as an artist.
Some Trivia: I love coffee, strong coffee and really scary movies. Since i was forced to join children’s gymnastics group, I hate gymnastics. I work at night when everybody else is sleeping, that’s when the inspiration comes.
Tools of the trade are the old pen, wacom tablet and photoshop CS2 and of course my imagination. I usually start with lineart in a traditional way, pen & paper, then I scan in my sketches and finish them in Photoshop and other times I draw directly in PS with my tablet.
I still read a lot of books and tutorials on various art techniques and occasionally I still pretend to be a mermaid.
